Character conversations

Give your DarLink character a voice and context

Voice and memory answer different questions. Voice affects how a companion sounds; memory concerns the context available to a conversation. DarLink offers voice messaging, but a voice count does not describe an audio allowance or establish live calling.

Choose a sound that fits the character, then decide which story details you want to carry into the next exchange. Basic, Enhanced and Living are plan labels, not promises that every preference, event or sentence will be remembered.

See what each plan lists

The plan comparison pairs voice counts with memory labels as follows. Use these to compare subscriptions without turning the labels into a fixed number of remembered facts, scenes or days.

Advanced10 premium optionsEnhanced memory
Ultimate10 premium optionsLiving memory

Listen for the tone you want

During character customization, choose from the voice preferences available to your account. Consider the role: an energetic event organizer and a quiet bookshop owner call for different delivery. The listed count alone does not tell you which accents or languages are included, or establish voice cloning.

For a simple listening example, ask your fictional adult organizer to explain a change to a concert's running order. If playback is available, listen at a comfortable volume and judge whether the delivery suits the character. That voice choice does not automatically transfer to a generated video's soundtrack.

Write a short note for the next conversation

Separate standing preferences from events in the story. Asking for concise replies is an ongoing preference; discovering a missing stage key is something that happened in the scene. A short note can state both without recounting the whole conversation.

  1. Identify the fictional adult participants and their roles.
  2. Record the latest event you agreed on, such as finding the key beneath a chair.
  3. Keep the details that matter next: the location, who has the key and which door is still locked.
  4. State the unresolved question or the action you want to take.
  5. Restate the relevant context when continuing, and correct conflicting details directly.

Save the writing you would miss

Keep character notes and important passages in a separate copy. DarLink's terms do not guarantee that created content will remain saved or retrievable. Conversation memory helps with context; it is not a substitute for your own backup.

Common questions

Which plans include six or ten voice choices?

Essential lists six standard options. Advanced and Ultimate list ten premium options each. Look at the choices available to your account rather than treating those counts as a list of supported languages.

Is Living memory a promise of unlimited recall?

No. The label does not promise that every detail will remain available forever. Keep your own summary of important events and restate a detail when the conversation loses it.

Will a new voice give the character a new personality?

Keep those choices separate. Use personality settings and the character brief to describe behavior, interests and boundaries; select a voice for how the character sounds.

Can I supply context without knowing how memory works?

Yes. A short written recap tells the character what matters now. You do not need to assume a context-window size, retention period or special memory command.

Will my character's voice appear in an animated video?

Voice messaging does not establish spoken audio in generated clips. Check the video tool's explicit audio options before planning dialogue or lip synchronization.
